My name is Alyson, I am 26 years old and I’m from France. I’m arriving in Galway in mid-January 2024 to work as a hydrographer. I’m looking for an accommodation in Galway. I’d love to find people who would like to share a flat or find a room in an existing flat sharing.
I’m a sporty girl, I love climbing, running, swimming and sailing. I love outdoor activities, especially hiking, and I’m keen to take advantage of my weekends to discover this beautiful country. I want to subscribe a membership in this cimbing COOP when I get to galway in january.
I’m also a very calm and sociable person.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to form a flat-share or if you have any advice about websites / groups / … on which I could find a room (as I understand that finding accommodation is really difficult).

I hope you’ve found some luck with the house-hunting thusfar. If you haven’t joined yet, there are some great groups on Facebook for finding accommodation in Galway. In particular “Galway househunting for sound people” is a great one on Facebook. I’m also looking for accommodation in the city soon, I could try and pass on suggestions. Also, if I am lucky enough to need a housemate, I’ll let you know. We seem to have similar hobbies and I am 22.

I have also moved to Galway in the past few weeks and I am looking to Join the Galway coop aswell as find some accommodation. Did you have any luck with finding a room to rent? I was hoping you could tell me if there is a decent community in the Climbing Coop where I could meet people because I’m struggling with meeting people here. I am 22 aswell.

I’ve been a member of the climbing coop for over a year now and have been living in Galway for almost two! I’m currently looking for new accommodation, and if you’re still in need of accommodation when you arrive in Galway I’d absolutely be up for house sharing.
I’m a 25 year old engineer who works 8:30 to 5:30 during the week and I like cycling and climbing on weekends.
